Nature Impressed Porcelain Lantern Workshop – Tuesday 23rd October 2018
Join local Ceramic Artist Anna Whitehouse on an observational day of the gardens through clay - www.anna-whitehouse.co.uk
The first part of the session will be a group walk to enjoy the gardens. Exploring the Autumnal setting whilst collecting leaves, seed pods and other natural material to use in the workshop.
Armed with your personal collection of natural treasures, experiment with impressing techniques in combination with the wonderful translucency of porcelain to create delicate, slab-built tealight holders and window hangers. Perfect for capturing the beauty of Autumn and enjoying as the nights creep in. At the end of the workshop Anna will take all the pieces back to her studio to fire in her kiln. Work can be collected from her studio in Harrogate or at the Himalayan Gardens.
